Whipped, organic body butter is basically lotion without the water in it.
That means it lasts longer, both in the sense of skin penetration (smoothing and soothing even rough, dry, or damaged spots like knees, elbows, and feet) and in the sense that a little goes a long way.
I've been using this recipe after EVERY bath or shower for years and I couldn't be happier with the results. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and the first layer of immune defense, keeping it hydrated from the outside means you have to do less work from the inside.
Potential benefits you may experience (I have to use qualifying language for legal reasons, but I personally agree with all of these) :
Creates a protective barrier from harsh sun or biting cold
Rejuvenates dry or damaged skin
Reduce stretch marks and/or scars
Softens healthy/normal skin
Evens out and generally improves complexion
Gives you a large helping of vitamins (A, B, D, E, C, Oleic Acid)
Ingredients: equal parts organic: Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Almond Oil, and Coconut Oil, then whipped with essential oil for fluffy texture and light scent.
Apply it to skin after a hot bath (showers work too, but maybe treat yoself every once in a while) BEFORE you towel off. The water on your skin will mix nicely with the butter and give you more hydration, plus it's better not to let your skin go from wet to dry then back to hydrated if you can help it. Apply evenly to whole body (except for face, I use a lighter oil like Jojoba or Argon for that) let sit for a minute or two, then towel off excess.
** the vanilla essential oil for the Yummy scent isn’t organic, couldn’t find any
